How to publish or reschedule failed posts on Facebook & Instagram

Sometimes, posts on Facebook and Instagram don’t go through as planned. This guide walks you through quick steps to make adjustments and successfully publish or reschedule your content so your message reaches your audience without delay.

Reschedule failed posts

  1. Go to your ContentStudio -> Planner and filter by "Failed" status to quickly find unsuccessful posts.
  2. Click on the Edit icon of the failed post to open it in the composer.

  1. If the post failed on multiple accounts, you can uncheck them from the account selection area if needed.
  2. From here, you can select a new date and time for each post.

  1. After making adjustments, click on Schedule.

Publish failed posts

  1. Go to your ContentStudio -> Planner and filter by "Failed" status. click on the failed post.
  2. Open the post preview in Planner; on the left-hand side, under Post account and status, click on the social account dropdown and click the Retry button. The post will be immediately published.

  1. You must open each social account and click the Retry button for multiple failed posts.
  2. Once you've completed the retry, close the post preview and click the refresh icon at the top right corner of the screen.

Publish partially failed posts.

  1. Go to your ContentStudio -> Planner and filter by "Partially Failed" status. Click on the failed post.

  1. Open the post preview in Planner. On the left-hand side, under Post account and status, locate the social accounts with a warning sign. Click on the dropdown and click the Retry button. The post will be immediately published.

  1. You must open each social account and click the Retry button for multiple failed posts.
  2. Once you've completed the retry, close the post preview and click the refresh icon at the top right corner of the screen.

Reschedule partially failed posts

  1. Go to your ContentStudio -> Planner and filter by "Partially Failed" status.
  2. Click on the Duplicate icon of the partially failed post to open it in the composer.

Note:

When editing a partially failed post, deselect any accounts where it was successfully published to avoid rescheduling or republishing there. Keep only the accounts where it failed to published.

  1. From here, select a new date and time for your post.

  1. After making adjustments, click on Schedule.
