⚠️Important:
- App passwords can only be used with accounts that have 2-Step Verification turned on.
Step 1: Enable Google 2-step verification (2FA)
Note:
- If 2FA is already enabled, then you can skip Step 1.
- Log in to your Google Account.
- Go to the Security section from the left sidebar.
- Under Signing in to Google, find 2-Step Verification and click Turn on.
The 2FA will be enabled.
Step 2: Generate an app password
- Access App Passwords
- Click App Passwords (visible only after enabling 2FA).
- Generate App Password
- Enter the App name and click Create.
- Copy App Password
- A 16-character password will be displayed. Copy it securely.
Step 3: Configure app password in White Label email settings
- Log in to ContentStudio
- Go to Settings > White Label > Email Settings.
- Enter SMTP Details
- SMTP Host: e.g., smtp.gmail.com
- SMTP Port: 587 for TLS or 465 for SSL
- SMTP Username: Your email address
- SMTP Password: Paste the App Password you generated
- Encryption: Select the encryption method based on your setup
- Test & Save Configuration
- Click Test SMTP Connection to verify the setup.
- Once verified, click Save.
