Viewing a Shared Analytics Report
Before you begin: The sender needs to create and share an analytics link with you. If you haven’t received one yet, ask them to generate it for you first. Learn how to create a shareable analytics link here.
How to View Shared Reports
When you open a shared analytics link, here’s what you’ll see and how to use it:
Tip: Ask the sender to share the password with you if you don’t have it.
Dynamic Date Range
If the link is shared with a dynamic date range, you (the viewer) can freely adjust the time period you want to see in analytics. By default, it opens with the last 30 days, but you can switch it to weekly, monthly, or even set a custom range. This means you always see the most recent and updated data.
Fixed Date Range
If the link is shared with a fixed date range, the sender has already decided the exact dates you can view (for example, "1st July – 31st July"). You won’t be able to extend or change the period — the view will stay locked to what the sender has set. This ensures everyone is looking at the same snapshot of data.
If the sender shares the report with a dynamic date range, you’ll always see the most up-to-date analytics in real time, based on the date range you choose (default is the last 30 days).
If the sender shares the report with a fixed date range, you’ll only see data for the exact period they set. The dates can’t be changed, and everyone will view the same snapshot even if new data is available later.
FAQs
1. Do I need a ContentStudio account to view the analytics link?
No, you don’t need an account. If you have the link (and password if required), you can view the analytics directly in your browser.
2. Can I change the date range I see in the report?
If the sender shared the link with a dynamic date range, yes — you can adjust it to weekly, monthly, or a custom period. The data updates in real time.
3. Why can’t I change the date range?
If the sender set a fixed date range, you’ll only see analytics for that specific time period. It can’t be changed, even if new data is available.
4. Why do I only see some accounts instead of all of them?
That’s because the sender chose to share analytics for only selected accounts. You’ll only have access to the ones they’ve allowed.
5. What if the link asks me for a password?
Some links are password-protected. You’ll need to enter the password provided by the sender to continue and view the report.
