How to connect a Medium Blog

Connecting your Medium blog with ContentStudio allows you to publish and manage your Medium articles directly from the platform. Follow the steps below to complete the integration.

How to Connect a Medium Blog

Log into your ContentStudio account. Click your Profile, go to Settings, and select Blogs/Websites.

Locate the Medium integration section and click Connect a new Medium blog in the top-right corner.

Click Okay to authorize ContentStudio. In the pop-up window, choose your Medium Blog and Publication, then click Save.

Verify that your Medium blog appears in the connected blogs list. If it is visible, the integration is successful.

FAQs

1. Can I publish to both my personal Medium profile and a publication?

Yes. During the connection process, you can select either your personal Medium blog or any publication where you have publishing rights. Make sure you have the correct role (Editor/Writer) in that publication.

2. Why is my publication not showing in the selection pop-up?

If a publication does not appear:

  • You may not have publishing permissions on that publication.
  • You may be logged into the wrong Medium account.
  • The authorization may need to be refreshed by reconnecting the integration.

3. What permissions does ContentStudio request from Medium?

ContentStudio requests publishing access to create and manage posts on your behalf. It does not access private drafts unless you choose to publish or manage them through the platform.

4. Can I reconnect or change the connected Medium blog later?

Yes. You can disconnect the existing Medium blog from the Blogs/Websites section and reconnect a different blog or publication at any time.
