Which interactions will be notified by social inbox?

The Social Inbox in ContentStudio helps you manage two types of customer interactions across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn: Private Chats and Post Comments.

Private Chats
These are private messages sent directly to your business via:
  • Facebook Messenger
  • Instagram DMs
These messages are typically used by customers who want to ask questions or share feedback discreetly.

Post Comments
These are public interactions—comments or posts—on your business content. Post comments are further categorized as:
  • Published Posts: Comments on posts shared directly by your business page (by admins or editors).
  • Tagged Comments: When someone tags your business in a group post or comment.
  • User Posts on Your Page: When someone posts directly on your business’s page and tags you.
Note:
To receive messages and comments in your Social Inbox, make sure:
  • Page messaging permissions are enabled from your social platform settings.
  • If permissions are disabled, private conversations and post comments may not appear in the Social Inbox.
