How to perform bulk action in social inbox (Archive, Done, Assign)?

Managing conversations one by one can be time-consuming, especially when you’re dealing with a high volume of social messages. That’s where bulk actions come in handy. With ContentStudio’s Social Inbox, you can assign multiple messages, mark them as done, or archive them all at once—streamlining your workflow and saving valuable time.

Step by step process

1
Click the checkbox located at the top-left corner of the conversation list. This will select all visible messages in your current folder (e.g., Unassigned, Assigned, All, etc.).

2
Once conversations are selected, you’ll see three bulk action options at the top:
  • Assign To– Delegate messages to a team member
  • Mark as Done – Mark conversations as resolved
  • Archive – Remove them from the active view

Click on the action you wish to perform.

3
You can easily review messages that were:
  • Assigned from the “Assigned” filter
  • Marked as Done from the “Marked as Done” dropdown
  • Archived from the “Archived” view

📌 Pro Tip: Use filters (like message type, social platform, or user) before selecting conversations to make your bulk actions more targeted and efficient.

FAQs

Q1: Can I perform bulk actions across multiple folders (e.g., Unassigned and Assigned)?

A: No, bulk actions apply only to the messages within the folder you are currently viewing. You'll need to switch folders to perform actions on other sets of messages.

Q2: Can I undo a bulk action after it’s applied?

A: There’s no single "undo" button for bulk actions, but you can manually revert them. For example, if you accidentally marked messages as done, you can go to the "Marked as Done" section and click ‘Undone’ on individual messages.

Q3: Are archived messages permanently removed?

A: No, archiving a message simply hides it from the active view. You can still access and unarchive them later if needed.
