How to post stories using Instagram push notifications (Android app)

Now, you can effortlessly schedule Instagram Stories through ContentStudio’s API, helping you reach your audience when it matters most. This guide walks you through each step—from composing and scheduling to posting with push notifications.

Go to Compose → Social Post. Add your image or video, then select your Instagram account.

In the Instagram settings, select Mobile Notifications. Then choose Post Now or schedule it for later.

You’ll receive a notification on your mobile app. Tap the Notification to continue.

After tapping the notification, choose whether to decline or publish the post. Your caption will be copied to the clipboard. Tap Post Now.

A disclaimer screen will appear saying "Continue to Instagram." Tap Ready to Post. When prompted, click Open.

Tip: You can also open Push Notifications in the mobile app to view missed notifications.

Read the on-screen instructions carefully, then tap Ready to Post.

Select the post type as Story.

The post will open in your Instagram app as a story. Tap Your Story to publish it.

Your post will be published as an Instagram Story.
