How to Add Alt Text To Image?
Are you having difficulty understanding or visualizing an Image on social media platforms? Interested in providing details about an image along with your Content but can't because of the word limit?
We've introduced new features that allow you to add extra details to your images. These are perfect for visually impaired users and anyone wanting to provide more context. Let's dig in!
Note: The Alt Text feature for images is available for Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and LinkedIn
Following are some simple steps to use this feature:
Step 1
Log in or sign up at https://app.contentstudio.io. On the dashboard, under Compose, click on Social Post.
Step 2
Select the social media account(s), add the caption, and click Upload to add media from your library.
Step 3
Choose an image from the wizard and click Add Media Button in the right corner.
Step 4
The selected image(s) will appear under Text Box.
Click on the middle icon to Add Media Description/ALT text. A wizard will appear. Enter information in the text area and click the Save button at the bottom right corner of the wizard.
Note: The Alt Button is only available for the profile that published the post. Viewers need an Alt Text Extension to use the Alt Text Feature.
Step 5
You can choose when to Publish and whether to repeat the post. Click on the Post Now button in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Step 6
You will be redirected to the Planner page, and the Notification will appear in the right corner of the screen, as shown in the image.
You can also verify your post by scrolling down on the screen under the Status column.
The Alt text will be visible to the user when the image is unavailable and when the visually impaired users want to listen to the image.
Congratulations! You have successfully used the ALT text Feature.
