Composer Revamp

The latest improvements to the Composer, make your social media handling easier than ever, with a separate media library and categorized features. The purpose of this document is to let you know about all the major structural changes that have been adopted in the new version of Composer.

Welcome to our newest version of publishing composer.

Social accounts:

Before social accounts were not grouped by the social platform

You will notice that the social accounts are now grouped by the social platform as shown in the image below. First, start by selecting your social media profiles from the left sidebar.

Facebook Groups

Now publishing as a page or profile on a Facebook group will display on clicking the gear icon

Content Categories

Content categories can be selected from the drop-down.

You can also search social accounts by clicking on the Search icon

All the social accounts can be selected by clicking on the check box in the search bar row

You can also select all social accounts for a specific channel by clicking on the check box in the social header row

Composer box

Upload Media Assets

  • You can drag-drop multiple images and single videos to the post
  • Now you can also, drag the images in the frame to sort the upload order of the image

  • Upload using a selector or select an already uploaded asset from the Media Library

  • Create new posts using Canva or Vista Create

  • Add ALT text to the images by clicking on the ALT button on the image
  • You can edit the image by clicking on the edit button on the image

Miscellaneous Options

  • You can add a location for Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter

  • You can create or add your existing hashtags

  • Create new UTMs or use your already created UTMs

  • You can add replug CTA

Make text bold or italic:

  • Select text and click on the Bold or Italic button
  • If the content is already formatted click on the same option to undo the formatting

  • It’s been improved big time. You can also search the emojis for the ones you need!

  • It shows the character limits left for the social accounts. It displays the least available character count from all of the different social accounts selected.

Note: For Draft posts now you can select a tentative posting date and time, this is for users who know when the post is supposed to go out but require other team members to add to the post or get approval for the draft.

Facebook Carousel

Now based on the above sort order of images the cards will be shuffled, to sort the images:

  • Click on the image from the images list
  • Drag to the position you want to set for the image
  • Release the click
  • The carousel cards would move accordingly

Note: In case you are not happy with the image in the 1st card that is generated from the link preview, you can upload a different image from your system to replace it.

Assistant Section

  • Post previews now are shown as a scrollable preview for all channels.
  • You can toggle between Web and Mobile preview as well.

Note: These previews are at least 95% accurate of what the post will look like on the social media channel and is not a 100% depiction.

Tasks - Create and manage tasks for your team members

Comments - Add comments for your team members to share feedback on the posts

Assistant - Fetch contents from multiple sources for your posts, instead of searching on the search engine you can just search for a keyword, view the content, and simply drag-drop to the composer box adding the details

Status Bar & Posting options

Left Corner:

  • Errors and Warnings will be displayed in the footer, clicking on them will expand/contract the box with the details

Right Corner:

  • Hide from Client
  • Send for Approval
  • Posting Option

The above mentioned is the overview, that highlights features of the new composer so that you are able to utilize the platform fully.
