Minimize post composer for multitasking
We’ve introduced a new feature that allows you to minimize the post composer for easier multitasking. Now, you can temporarily minimize your draft post, complete other tasks, and return to it later without losing any progress. Your post will be safely parked in the left corner of the screen, ready for you to pick up right where you left off. 🤞

Minimize the composer screen
When you are working in the Composer module and need to focus on other tasks, you can minimize the Composer screen:
- Minimizing the Composer:
- Click the Minimize button on the Composer screen.
- The Composer will shrink to a smaller size on the left side of the screen.
- Data Retention:
- All text, media, social accounts, and formatting you entered before minimizing will be retained and visible precisely as it was.
Tip 💡:
The minimized composer card is draggable; you can move it anywhere.
Maximize the composer screen
When you are ready to continue working on your post:
- Restoring the Composer:
- Click the Maximize button to expand the Composer back to its original size.
- The transition will be smooth, and all previously entered data will be displayed exactly as it was before minimizing.
Working with minimized composer
When the Composer is minimized, and you attempt to:
- Create a new post
- Edit an existing draft
- Share or duplicate a post from various locations, such as the Dashboard, Media Library, Planner, Discovery Module, or Search Tab.
A pop-up message will prompt you with two options:
- Save and Create New
- Clicking the option will discard the current draft, hide the minimized composer card, and display the new content on the Composer screen.
- Return to Composer
- Clicking the option will reopen the minimized composer card with the content you had previously entered.
Important:
- If multiple tabs or browsers are open, the Composer screen's minimized or maximized state will only apply to the tab where the action was performed.
- Text formatting will be preserved exactly as it was before minimizing.
