With new visuals and detailed graphs, you can now track key metrics more efficiently and understand your content performance at a glance. 💡 Keep in Mind
- Upon connecting your Facebook page, ContentStudio gathers metrics and insights displayed after a single refresh.
- For most metrics, we gather data from the 100 most recent posts and daily insights for page metrics.
Accessing Facebook analytics:
Step 1: Navigate to Analyze from the dashboard.
Step 2: Go to Social Analytics, then click Facebook in the left panel. This will open your Facebook analytics dashboard.

Once you're in the Facebook Analytics section, you'll notice three main tabs to explore:
- Overview
- Demographics
- Posts
Overview tab
We are beginning by understanding the Overview tab, which is selected by default when you navigate to Facebook Analytics.
- Your first Facebook page is selected by default, but you can select any from the dropdown if you have multiple pages.
- Select a date range to analyze; the default is the past 30 days. Predefined ranges are also available for quick selection.

- Overview cards
As you explore the Facebook Analytics dashboard, you'll see several informative cards packed with essential data about your account. Each card contains:
- Total count
- Net increase or decrease as compared to the previous time period
- Percentage rate of change as compared to previous time periods
N/A: means that the data is not available.
The following are the key metrics offered by ContentStudio:
- Followers: The total number of people who follow your Page. Insights are available when your Facebook account is connected to the ContentStudio
- Total Posts: The total number of posts published on your Facebook page during the selected time period.
- Page Impression: This shows how often your Page's content, such as posts, stories, and ads, appeared on screens during the selected time period. Insights are available when the Facebook account is connected with the ContentStudio.
- Page Engagement: The total interactions (likes, comments, shares) on your Facebook page received during the selected time period. Insights are available when the Facebook account is connected with the ContentStudio.
- Page Sentiments: Sentiments show whether reactions and comments on your posts were positive or negative during the selected time period. Insights are available when your Facebook account is connected to the ContentStudio.
- Posts Impressions: The total number of times your Page's posts published during the selected time period entered a person's screen. Posts include statuses, photos, links, videos, and more
- Post Reach: Reach indicates the total number of unique users who have seen your content posted during the selected the time period.
- Posts Engagements: The total number of engagement actions (reactions, comments, and shares) received on all posts published during the selected time period.
- Post Clicks: The total number of times people clicked anywhere in your posts published during the selected time period
- Post Reactions: The total number of reactions your posts received during the selected time period.
- Page Comments: The total number of comments your published posts received during the selected time period.
- Post Shares: Indicate how many times users have shared your content during the selected time period, helping expand its visibility by reaching their followers,

- Facebook API limitations prevent fetching historical data for Impressions by Page, Engagement by Page, Sentiments, Feedback, Page Likes, Talking about page, Page fans by like, and Page fans by unlike, so these metrics only accumulate from the day you connect your Facebook page. For example, If you connect your page on October 1, 2024, you will see data for these metrics after that date.
- Data for Followers is available from September 1, 2024, as it was integrated on that date.

- Audience Growth Graph
Audience Growth is the increase in the number of followers on your Facebook page over a period of time.
The graph has two views:
- Daily Audience Growth: The graph shows daily changes in your audience size to help gauge growth and engagement trends.
- Cumulative Audience Growth: The graph shows total audience increase over time, highlighting overall growth trends.
The X-axis maps the selected time period, while the Y-axis tracks the metric count. Hover over a data point to see the values of both.
Audience Roll-up
Audience Rollup shows key metrics like total Page Likes, average fans gained or lost, and user engagement during the selected time period. Insights are available when your Facebook account is connected to the ContentStudio
On the right section, you can see audience growth roll up that shows the following:
- Page Likes - Displays the average number of page fans gained through likes during the selected time period.
- Talking About Count - Indicates how many users are actively engaging with or talking about your page.
Audience Rollup has a percentage value with an up or down arrow, indicating the change (growth or decline) compared to the previous period of the same length.

- Facebook API limitations prevent fetching historical data for Audience Growth, so data only accumulates from the day you connect your Facebook page. For example, If you connect your page on September 1, 2024, you won't see data for audience growth before that date.

- Page Impressions
Examine the overall page impressions (the number of times any content from your page or about your page entered a person's screen) throughout the selected time period.
The X-axis maps the selected time period, while the Y-axis tracks the metric count. Hover over a data point to see the values of both.
Impressions Rollup
To understand your viewership over time, check total impressions and daily/weekly averages to see how often people see your page.
On the right section, you can see impressions roll up that shows the following:
- Page Impressions: The total number of times users have seen your page content. This includes both unique and repeated views.
- Average Impressions per day: The average number of times your page content has been seen by users per day over the specified period.
- Average Impressions per week: The average number of times your page content has been seen by users per week over the specified period.
Impressions Rollup has a percentage value with an up or down arrow, indicating the change (growth or decline) compared to the previous period of the same length.

- Page Engagments
Examine the overall engagement metrics (reactions, comments, and shares) throughout the selected time period, regardless of the post’s publication date.
The X-axis maps the selected time period, while the Y-axis tracks the metric count. Hover over a data point to see the values of both.
Engagements Rollup
You can track how people interact with your page by looking at total engagements and daily/weekly averages to see how involved your audience is.
On the right section, you can see engagements roll up that shows the following:
- Page Engagement: The total number of times your page content has been interacted with by users. This includes likes, comments, shares, clicks, and other actions.
- Average Engagements per day: The average number of times your page content has been interacted with by users per day over the specified period.

- Publishing Behaviour
The Facebook Publishing Behavior section displays a graph summarizing the number of posts you've published within a specified timeframe.
The graph has three views:
- Impressions: Publishing Behavior by Impressions shows the number of times your posts published during the selected time period are displayed to users, helping you understand the visibility and reach of your content. Hovering your mouse over the graph will reveal the following:
- Organic Post Impressions: The number of times your content is seen through unpaid distribution.
- Viral Post Impressions: The number of times your content is seen when a person’s friend interacts with your page, displaying social information.
- Paid Post Impressions: The number of times your content is seen through paid distribution.
- Engagements: Publishing Behavior by Engagement measures the interactions (likes, comments, shares) your posts published during the selected time period have received, reflecting how actively users are engaging with your content. Hovering over the graph will reveal the following:
- Reactions: Number of reactions your posts received.
- Comments: Number of comments your posts received.
- Shares: Number of times your posts have been shared.
- Reach: Publishing Behavior by Reach indicates how many unique users have seen your posts published during the selected time period, providing insight into the extent of your content’s visibility. Hovering over the graph will reveal the following:
- Organic Reach: Total reach of your organic posts.
- Paid Reach: Total reach of your paid posts.
- Viral Reach: Total reach of your viral posts.
The X-axis maps the selected time period, while the Y-axis tracks the metric count. To focus on a single metric, click on the others below the graph to hide their data.

- Facebook Top Posts
The list of 5 top-performing posts for the selected period in the Facebook Top Posts section. The posts with the most engagements, reactions, comments, shares, impressions, clicks, and post types are included in the top posts. For each of the listed posts, we show the following:
- Engagements: Total fan interactions (comments, shares, likes, clicks) with your top post.
- Reactions: The total number of reactions your top posts received.
- Comments: Number of comments your top post received.
- Shares: Number of shares your top posts received.
- Impressions: The number of times people saw your top post.
- Clicks: The total number of clicks on your top posts.
- Post Types: Post types include text, share, or reel.
You can see the ↗️ icon on the top right corner of each post. This icon will redirect you to your Facebook page, where your top post has been published.
📝Important
Your top post's image may not display if the selected time range is too long (e.g., last 1-2 years). This usually happens due to a token expiry.

- Facebook Active Users
Facebook Active Users section provides insights into the times when your fans are most active on Facebook, offering a graphical breakdown of:
- Active Users by Hours - It shows the number of active fans at each hour of the day.
- Active Users by Days - It shows the number of active fans on each day of the week.
The X-axis shows hours (0 - 23), and the Y-axis displays active user counts. Hover over data points on the graph to see exact counts by days or hours. Below the graphs, find the Best Hour and Best Day to post for your content.
📝Important
Meta has deprecated Facebook Active Users by hours and days data. If your account was connected before September 16, 2024, you can access insights before that date.

- Facebook Video Insights
Using this graph, you can review the performance of videos posted during the selected time period in terms of watch time, views, and engagement.
The graph has three views:
- Watch Time: Watch Time measures the total amount of time users have spent watching your videos during the selected time period, helping you assess the effectiveness and engagement level of your content. Hovering over the graph reveals:
- Paid Watch Time: the total time users spend watching your paid videos.
- Organic Watch Time: the total time users spend watching your organic videos.
- Total Videos: the total number of videos.
- Views: Video Views counts the number of times your videos published during the selected time period has been viewed, indicating its popularity and reach among users. Hovering over the graph reveals:
- Paid Views: the number of times your paid video has been viewed.
- Organic Views: the number of times your organic video has been viewed.
- Total Videos: the total number of videos.
- Engagement: Engagements track user interactions with your videos published during the selected time period, including likes, comments, and shares, reflecting how well your content resonates with viewers. Hovering over the graph reveals:
- Reactions: total number of reactions to the videos for that time period.
- Comments: total number of comments on the videos for that time period.
- Shares: total number of shares of the videos for that time period.
- Total Videos: total number of videos.
Video Insights Rollup
You can see how your videos are doing by looking at total views, watch times, and how much people interact with them to understand their viewership and impact.
On the right section, you can see engagements roll up that shows the following:
- Videos: The total number of videos published on your page during the specified period.
- Total Watch Time (Sec): The cumulative amount of time users have spent watching your videos published during the specified period.
- Paid Watch Time (Sec): The cumulative amount of time users have spent watching your videos published during the selected time period that were promoted through paid advertising.
- Organic Watch Time (Sec): The cumulative amount of time users have spent watching your videos published during the selected time period without paid promotion.
- Total Views: The total number of times your videos published during the selected time period have been viewed.
- Paid Views: The total number of times your videos published during the selected time period have been viewed through paid advertising.
- Organic Views: The number of times your video content published during the selected time period has been viewed without paid promotion.
- Reactions: The total number of reactions (likes, loves, haha, wow, sad, angry) your video content published during the selected time period has received.
- Comments: The total number of comments left on your video content published during the selected time period.
Shares: The number of times your video content published during the selected time period, has been shared by users.
The X-axis shows the time period, and the Y-axis, time in seconds, displays the number of views and engagements.

- Facebook Reel Performance
Using this graph, you can review the performance of reels posted during the selected time period in terms of initial plays, watch time, and engagement.
The graph has three views:
- Initial Plays: Initial Plays measure the number of times your reel posted during the selected time period was played, indicating its immediate reach and viewer interest. Hovering over the graph reveals:
- Initial Plays: the number of times your reel was played
- Total Reels: the total number of reels.
- Watch time (sec): Watch Time (sec) shows the total number of seconds users have spent watching your reel posted during the selected time period, reflecting how engaging and captivating your content is. Hovering over the graph reveals:
- Watch Time: the number of seconds users have spent watching your reel.
- Total Reels: the total number of reels.
- Engagement: Engagement measures user interactions with your reel posted during the selected time period, including likes, comments, and shares, highlighting how well your content resonates with viewers. Hovering over the graph reveals:

Reels Insights Rollup
You can check the performance of your reels using total watch time, average view length, number of plays, reach, and engagement.
On the right section, you can see engagements roll up that shows the following:
- Reels: The total number of Reels published on your page during the specified period.
- Watch Time (Sec): The cumulative amount of time users have spent watching your Reels posted during the selected time period.
- Avg. Time Watched: The average amount of time users have spent watching your Reels posted during the selected time period.
- Initial Plays: The total number of times your Reels posted during the selected time period, have been played at least once.
- Reach: The total number of unique accounts that have seen your Reels posted during the selected time period.
- Reactions: The total number of reactions (likes, loves, haha, wow, sad, angry) your Reels posted during the selected time period have received.
- Comments: The total number of comments left on your reel posted during the selected time period.
- Shares: The number of times your Reels posted during the selected time period have been shared by users.
The X-axis shows the date, and the Y-axis displays the number of plays, time in seconds, and the number of engagements.
Demographics tab
The Demographics 📊 tab within your analytics dashboard displays information on your audience demographics, such as age, gender, and location, helping you tailor content to your key audience.
Important!!
- Meta has deprecated Facebook Audience by Age and Gender data. You can access insights if your account was connected before 14 March 2024.
💡 Keep in Mind
- Audience demographics will be shown to you if your Facebook page has more than 100 Fans. Otherwise, no data will be shown.
- Audience Demographics data starts accumulating from the day you connect your Facebook page. as page-level data from past periods is unavailable due to Facebook API restrictions.

The demographics tab shows your top audience by gender and age, as well as your top location.

- Audience by Age
Audience by Age shows your fans' breakdown by age in the selected period. Loading bars represent different age ranges and show how many fans belong to each range. The total number of fans in each range is also written before the range numbers.

- Audience by Gender
Audience by Gendershows you the breakdown of your fans by gender in the selected time period. You can see a pie chart comprising three colored segments:
- Blue - Representing the Male Count
- Red - Representing the Female Count
- Green - Representing the Unspecified Count
Hover your mouse over a segment of the pie chart to see the percentage of each gender. The total count of each gender is displayed below the chart. To focus on a specific gender, click on the others below the chart to hide their segments.
Below both sections, you will see the Leading force among your fans based on the highest gender and age values.

This graph displays the top countries your Facebook page's audience originates from. The length of each bar represents the percentage of your audience that comes from that specific country.
- Audience Top Cities
This graph displays the top cities from which your Facebook page's audience originates. The length of each bar represents the percentage of your audience that comes from that specific city.
Posts tab
The "Posts" tab displays the posts that received the most Engagements, Impressions, Reach, Post Clicks, Reactions, Comments, and Shares during the selected period.
For each of the listed Facebook top posts, we show its top metrics:
- Post: Details of each individual published post.
- Media Type: Displays the type of media (e.g., photo, video) used in posts.
- Engagement: Measures your posts' total interactions (likes, comments, shares).
- Impressions: Total times your content was displayed to users.
- Reach: Reach indicates the total number of unique users who have seen your content on Facebook during the selected time period. It helps you understand the impact and visibility of your posts within your audience.
- Post Clicks: The total number of times people clicked on anywhere in your posts during the selected time period.
- Reactions: The total number of reactions your posts received that were published during the selected time period.
- Comments: Total number of comments received on your posts.
- Shares: Shares indicate how often users have shared your content during the selected time period, helping expand its visibility by reaching their followers.
You can click on each post for a detailed view with more metrics.
Clicking on a post will open a pop-up window showing a Preview of that post with below statistics:

Save and analyze your Facebook metrics
The Export button in the analytics dashboard provides a convenient way to extract and save your analytics data for further analysis or reporting.
By clicking on the export button, you can download a file containing a detailed breakdown of your Facebook performance metrics. You can:

- Schedule PDF

Overview tiles
Before, the Facebook Overview tiles looked like this.
Now the user interface has been updated to provide a more intuitive experience, allowing users to view metrics and data either page-wise or post-wise, offering greater flexibility and clarity in analyzing Facebook performance.
Facebook Audience Growth
Before, the Facebook Audience Growth widget looked like this:
The Facebook Audience Growth widget now has a dropdown menu, allowing users to view audience growth Daily or as Cumulative data. The user interface has also been enhanced to provide a smoother and more user-friendly experience.
Facebook Publishing Behavior
Previously, the Facebook Publishing Behavior data was displayed across three separate widgets.
The Facebook Publishing Behavior data has now been consolidated into a single widget. A dropdown has been introduced, allowing users to toggle between viewing publishing behavior data by Impressions, Engagements or Reach for a more comprehensive and flexible analysis.
Top Posts
Previously, the "Top Posts" widget displayed three posts.
Now, users can view the top 5 posts in the "Top Posts" section, with an option to dive deeper into the details of each post. The user interface has also been improved for a smoother and more intuitive experience.
Active Users by Hours & Active Users by Days
Before, the Active Users by Hours & Active Users by Days look like this.
The "Active Users by Hours & Days" widget has undergone a user interface improvement, making it more visually appealing and more accessible to interpret. These enhancements provide a more intuitive view of user activity patterns over time.
Note:
The Active Users by Hours and Active Users by Days widgets will display data only until September 16, 2024, as the corresponding Facebook API has become obsolete. Users will not see any new data beyond this date.
