Simultaneously posting content on Facebook: story, reel, and feed

Welcome to a new feature that enhances your Facebook posting experience: the ability to combine various post types with your story posts. Now, you can create more dynamic and engaging content by:

  • Posting a feed post along with a story
  • Combining a reel post with a story
  • Sharing as a single story

This guide will walk you through the steps to utilize this new functionality. It will help you maximize your Facebook presence by seamlessly integrating multiple content formats in one cohesive post.


In this article:


Posting a feed post with the story

  1. Go to ContentStudio app
  2. Head to Compose -> Social Post

  1. Choose your Facebook account and compose your social post.
  2. Add your caption and add an image.

Feed:

  • Single image or upto 10images, or a video
  • Format: JPEG (JPG), PNG
  • File Size:10 MB maximum
  • Aspect Ratio: must be within 4:5 to 1.91:1 range
  1. In the Facebook settings, select the post type as "Feed."
  2. Toggle on the Also share to Story option.

  1. You will see previews of both the feed and the story on the right side of the screen.
  2. When you publish this post, it will be shared as a feed post and a story.

Posting a reel post with the story

  1. Go to ContentStudio app
  2. Head to Compose -> Social Post

  1. Choose your Facebook account and compose your social post.
  2. Add your caption and add a video.

Reel:

  • Only single video
  • Format: mov or mp4
  • File size: 1GB maximum
  • Duration: 60 minutes maximum, 4 seconds minimum
  • Aspect ratio: recommended 9:16 to avoid cropping or black space
  1. In the Facebook settings, select the post type "Reel."
  2. Toggle on the Also share to Story option.

  1. The screen's right side shows previews of the reel and story.
  2. When you publish this post, it will be shared as a reel and a story.

Posting as a single story

  1. Go to ContentStudio app
  2. Head to Compose -> Social Post

  1. Choose your Facebook account and compose your social post.
  2. Add your caption and add a video.
  • Story
    • Single or up to 10 images, videos, or a mix
  • Image
    • Format: JPEG (JPG), PNG
    • File Size:8 MB maximum
    • Aspect Ratio: recommended 9:16 to avoid cropping or blank space
  • Video
    • Format: mov or mp4
    • File size: 100 MB maximum
    • Duration: 60 seconds maximum, 3 seconds minimum
    • Aspect ratio: recommended 1:1 to avoid cropping or black space
  1. In the Facebook settings, select the post type "Story."

  1. The right side of the screen shows previews of the story.
  2. When you publish this post, it will be shared as a story.
